FAISALABAD, Dec 5: The additional district and sessions judge has ordered medical examination of condemned prisoner Nawaz alias Jaji who was allegedly tortured in the local Central Jail.

The court issued these orders on an application moved by Mohammad Umer alleging that his brother was being tortured in the Central Jail for not giving gratification to jail officials.

He also alleged that the jail authorities were not allowing the family members to meet Nawaz.

Taking notice of the complaint, the court ordered the medical examination of Nawaz, and directed the jail superintendent to present him before the court on Dec 8.
