HYDERABAD: LUMHS announces entry test results

HYDERABAD, Dec 31: Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, has announced on Monday the final list of candidates who have been granted admission to the university following the entry test held by IBA Karachi the other day.

According to final list, 111 seats have been allocated to Hyderabad district, 35 to Sanghar, 21 to Tharparkar, 33 to Thatta, 32 to Badin, 32 to Nawabshah, 32 to Mirpurkhas and 36 to Naushehro Feroze districts.

SU: Sindh University, Jamshoro, has announced on Monday the results of the entry test for admission in bachelor programme for the academic session 2002.

A total number of 2,422 students appeared in the entry test which was conducted by the university here on Sunday.

Some 494 seats have been reserved under the quota system while 153 seats have been reserved for upper Sindh.

Among the general seats, 280 are available in faculty of Arts, 100 in faculty of Commerce and Business Administration, 130 in faculty of Islamic Studies, 865 in faculty of Natural Sciences and 615 in faculty of Social Sciences.

The entry test of the second batch was held to save one year of the students who had passed their intermediate examination and would have to wait for eight months to 12 months for next year’s admission as had been happening in the past.

The university has also for the first time introduced English classes for the new comers to make them proficient in the language.
