DEMO: The teachers of the Adult Literacy Centre, Larkana, demonstrated outside the press club on Thursday in protest against the non-payment of their salaries.

Several teachers, including Mohammed Hussain, Ahmed Nawaz Soomro, and Wali Mohammed, alleged that their salaries had been forwarded to the assistant district officer (elementary) but he had withheld their salaries.

They alleged that by placing bogus vouchers in files in the name of providing uniforms, books and other educational material, the officials were siphoning off the amount meant for the purpose.

They demanded that their salaries be paid soon, otherwise they would launch a protest movement from Dec 10.
