HYDERABAD, Dec 3: The Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union has criticized the Hesco officials for terminating the services of senior employees on flimsy grounds.

It warned that protest would be observed against those officials who were victimizing the workers.

In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, the president of the union, Abdul Latif Nizamani, provincial secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Kaimkhani, and others said that some officials of Hesco had adopted vindictive policies and sent experienced employees with 20 years of service on forced retirement.

They said that the action was being taken against those employees who were awarded only two punishments during their long service.

The labour leaders said that the workers were being victimized to cover the failure of the officials to check line losses and poor recovery of dues.
