LAHORE, Nov 24: Some leaders of the PPP’s Lahore Coordination Committee took exception to Secretary-General Jehangir Badr’s participation in an Iftar party organized by Seth Shaukat Ali who is said to be a member of the rival PPP-Patriots.
Lahore President Mian Misbahur Rehman said at an LCC committee meeting on Monday that it was not fair for the secretary-general to set a bad precedent for other members.
Mr Badr denied that Seth belonged to the Patriots. He told the participants that except for one Patriots leader — Abbab Kazmi — all others were affiliated with the PPP.
Malik Mushtaq Awan supported this view. He said it was a fact that Seth Shaukat had nothing to do with the Patriots. —Staff Reporter
