KARACHI, Nov 24: A fire burnt telephone cables in New Karachi on Monday.

Officials of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company told Dawn that as many as 4,000 telephone connections had become out of order in the locality because of the fire.

They said that the blocks hit by the fire were 15/A-5, A-4, A-3, 15/B, 16/A & B, 11/E and 11/H of New Karachi.
