LAHORE, Nov 22: All 102 traffic signals are in order but those on The Mall and Jail Road are not being operated during the peak hours by the traffic police.

Traffic police constables control the traffic on the two roads manually. They prosecute ordinary motorists for violating their signal but continue to switch off signals to facilitate the cars carrying ministers and bureaucrats.

The traffic police do so to appease ministers and bureaucrats and to show their efficiency.
