Convicts shifted to Kot Lakhpat

LAHORE, Nov 18: Two convicted sectarian militants, who were flown into the city from Karachi on Monday night, were shifted to the Kot Lakhpat Jail on Tuesday.

Akram Lahori and Hafiz Shoaib of the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi had been sentenced in a terrorism case by an anti-terrorism court in Karachi.

Police claimed that they were wanted by the Punjab police in sectarian cases. Of them, the Mominpura massacre was atop in which 25 people and policemen were killed.

They were first taken to the Chuhng police interrogation cell from where they were sent to the Kot Lakhpat prison.
