MANSEHRA, Nov 18: Six activists of the Islami Jamiat Talba were rounded up by the police on Tuesday when they tried to block the Karakoram Highway near the Government Post Graduate College, Mansehra.

They were protesting against the expulsion of the IJT Nazim Abdul Ghani from the Hazara University (HU) on the charges of indulging in politics and disturbing the peaceful academic atmosphere of the HU.

According to the police sources, about a dozen IJT activists headed by Zahid Hussain who is not a student of the college and is the brother of Abdul Ghani allegedly instigated the college students and brought about 20 students on the road who tried to block the KKH.—Correspondent
