Homeopathic dispensaries to be opened in all hospitals: MPA

TIMERGARA: Lower Dir district nazim Mohammad Rasool Khan on Saturday warned doctors and other employees of government hospitals in the district of stern action if they failed to ensure presence on duty.

He was addressing a gathering at the tehsil headquarters hospital, Samar Bagh, after inaugurating a homeopathic dispensary at the health facility. MPA Saeed Gul, district health officer Dr Mohammad Rehman, Islamic Homeopathic Association country director Dr Zahir Shah and area elders were also present on the occasion.

The nazim said that the district government had been advised by the provincial government to make all health units in the district fully functional.


Says homeopaths will be given grade-17


Speaking on the occasion, MPA Saeed Gul said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had planned to open homeopathic dispensaries in all hospitals of the province. He said that homeopathic doctors would be given grade-17.

Tehsil nazim Saeed Ahmad said that the hospital lacked specialist doctors while X-ray machine and other equipments were non-functional due to negligence of the staff.

Meanwhile, the local councillors and volunteers participated in a cleanliness drive at the THQ hospital.

Chairman of health committee and tehsil councillor Sarbiland Khan, nazim village council Fazal Hayat and others along with volunteers worked for hours to clean choked drains and remove dirt from the hospital premises.

Talking to mediapersons, they said that about 120 class-IV employees of the hospital were getting salaries, but doing nothing for cleanliness. They demanded of the government to appoint sweepers from the Christian community.

SETBACK FOR JI: Residents of Nasir Kallay in Mayar union council in Lower Dir on Saturday quit Jamaat-i-Islami en masse and joined Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf. The joining ceremony was held at the residence of nazim village Council Kotki, Jawad Khan.

Local PTI leader Mohammad Bashir and party’s former district general secretary Ali Shah were present on the occasion. Khan Zarin, Nadir Khan, Janat Gul, Rozamin Khan, Mohammad Momin and others on the occasion announced joining PTI along with their families.

Speaking on the occasion, they said Nasir Kallay was deprived of even basic facilities, which was a question mark on the performance of elected members of the area.
