KARACHI: Property dealer shot dead

KARACHI, Nov 16: middle-aged man was shot dead in Nazimabad late on Saturday night.

Nisar Ahmed Khan, 45, father of three had returned home, in Nazimabad No2, along with his family, after attending an Iftar at some relatives, when he saw two motorcyclists standing outside the entrance of his house, while a third one was standing at a distance, the SHO Nazimabad, Khalid Awan, quoting some eyewitnesses said.

Seeing the two motorcyclists, Nisar Ahmed parked his vehicle at a little distance away from his house, and was approached by the unknown motorcyclist wearing helmet, and exchanged some words, the SHO said.

Meanwhile, the eldest daughter of the victim tried to go home by opening the car door which was slammed by the armed man, who also pointed a pistol towards her, he said.

Nisar Ahmed exchanged hot words and banged on the roof of his car apparently to convey a massage to the rest of his family inside the house, the SHO said.

Subsequently, the unknown armed man who was present on the left side of the car took out a pistol and shot Nisar from a close range in the chest and fled on the motorcycle, the SHO said.

The victim fell on the ground in a pool of blood, he was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, he said.

Later, the post-mortem examination was conducted on the victim by the medico-legal officer.

The victim used to deal in property and cars, police added.

Despite the passage of 24 hours, the police had not even started investigating into the case, alleged a close relative of the victim.
