ISLAMABAD, Nov 15: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has said that there is no room for any dialogue with India unless it acknowledges the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to PTV, he stated this in an interview with a daily in Srinagar.
In reply to a question, he said: “We don’t shy away from talks but these should be within the ambit of the Hurriyat constitution.”
He dismissed as propaganda the perception that the post-Sept 11 scenario demanded a new response from the liberation leaders in Kashmir.
He said the change did not, in any case, mean the abandoning of the struggle for the genuine cause of right to self-determination.
