63 injured as train derails

SYDNEY, Nov 15: More than 60 people were injured when a passenger train derailed in rural Australia on Saturday after a car was left on the tracks, police said.

A police spokesman saud the three-carriage train jumped the tracks near Ballan, in Victoria state.

Police spokesman Kevin Loomes said 63 people were hurt, but the injuries were not life threatening.—AFP
