KARACHI, Nov 12: Day one of the fifth round of Patron’s Trophy qualifiers saw the lowest total when Customs pacemen Imran Ali and Junaid Zia bundled out Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) for 35 at National Stadium on Wednesday.
Exploiting ideal bowling conditions Imran snapped up six wickets for 22 runs in 10.3 overs and Junaid grabbed three wickets for seven runs in ten overs as KESC were bowled out in 105 minute in 20.3 overs after being sent to bat first.
By draw of stumps Customs had already taken 144 runs lead by scoring 179 for six wickets in their first innings. Kamran Hussain with an unbeaten 59 with ten boundaries and a six and Fawad Alam 22 not out were at the crease, having added 83 runs for the unbroken seventh wicket.
Jaffar Qureshi with ten runs was only batsman to reach double figure for KESC. Five of KESC batsmen failed to disturb the scorers.
