QUETTA, Nov 8: Additional Sessions Judge Pishin Rozi Khan Barach awarded death to an accused for killing a taxi driver while offering prayer.
The court condemned Asamuddin to death when the prosecution proved that he had hired a taxi of Niaz Muhammad to go to Pishin from Quetta, but when the driver was offering prayer, the accused shot him dead.
In another case, Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed has taken suo motu notice of the application of Ganji Bibi alleging that five staff members of the Edhi centre Quetta had committed immoral acts with her one year ago. She prayed to the court to take action against the accused.
The chief justice directed her to present the application in the court on the next hearing date.
