LAHORE: Remodelling of two roads ordered

LAHORE, Nov 8: The district Nazim has ordered remodelling of two roads.

Nazim Amer Mahmood issued the orders during a meeting with Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency (TEPA) chief engineer Khshhal Khan about the remodelling of Firdaus Market junction here on Saturday.

The project includes remodelling of M. M. Alam Road stretch between Husain Chowk and Firdaus Market, Husain Chowk to Liberty Market and from Liberty to Jagmag Chowk along the park at a cost of Rs10 million.

The project also includes improvement of a drain for storm water preventing flooding of the road during rains.

The other project is of remodelling of Ravi Road stretch between the Azadi Chowk and Niazi Chowk.

The Nazim said a new bridge should be built on Satto Katla drain for extending the Lahore Canal-College Road-Township Link Road. The road stretch between Township and Johar Town had already been completed.
