PESHAWAR, Nov 8: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday dismissed the bail petition of an Afghan national deported from Saudi Arabia.
The court directed the senior superintendent of police (operational) to take action against the agents who had helped the petitioner in preparation of a forged Pakistani passport and the national identity card.
Petitioner Mohammad Rehman, who travelled to Saudi Arabia as a Pakistani national Mohammad Haroon, has been charged with forgery, cheating and impersonation. He faces charges under various sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Passport Act.
Recently, he was deported to Pakistan by Saudi authorities following his arrest for his alleged involvement in objectionable activities there.
He was taken into custody at the Islamabad Airport.
