LAHORE, Nov 6: Two shopkeepers were arrested, cases were registered against 12 and Rs198,200 fine was imposed on 32 for under-weighing and selling foodstuffs at high rates during the City District Government price control campaign on Thursday.

The cantonment ADO (revenue) imposed Rs173,000 fine on 13 Defence shops, including Europa, Potpourri, H Karim Bakhsh, Bismillah, Target and Iftikhar and Ilm Din meat shops, for overcharging and under-weighing.

The Allama Iqbal Town ADO (revenue) fined 19 meat sellers Rs25,200 for overcharging and under-weighing. —Reporter
