GUJRAT: Police recovered an expat, holding a Norwegian nationality, hours after he was kidnapped from a restaurant along the GT Road in the Lalamusa Sadar police area.

The kidnappers are said to have some rivalry with the man, identified as Seemab Shafqat of Saroki village.

He was kidnapped from near a famous restaurant between Lalamusa and Kharian when he was going to Islamabad airport. Police chased the car and recovered Seemab from the Sara-i-Alamgir area. The kidnappers made their escape.

Police have lodged a case against five nominated and four unidentified suspects on the report of Zulfiqar Ahmed, a relative of Seemab. However, no arrest was made in the case.
