HYDERABAD, Nov 5: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Wednesday directed four police officials of Khanote and Wada Chachar police stations to file their affidavits that a man, Sher Mohammad, was arrested on Nov 4 and not on Oct 26, as claimed by his petitioner mother.
In her petition, Bibi Birhamani said her son had married Shabana but the couple later developed differences. She said the police took away her son on Oct 26 at the insistence of Shabana’s father. She prayed the court for recovery of her son.
The in-charges of investigation wings of the police stations in their statement before the court said the man was arrested on Nov 4 after a case was registered against him on Sept 2.
The court was not satisfied with the statement of the police officials considering the fact that petition was filed on Oct 30.
On Tuesday, Khanote SHO denied having arrested the man. However, the Wada Chachar SHO maintained that he had registered a case against him and handed over the FIR to the investigation wing.
