PESHAWAR: Fake passports seized

PESHAWAR, Nov 4: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sealed two unauthorized travel agencies in Mardan and seized 16 fake Pakistani passports and dozens of bogus visa stickers from their possession on Monday, a senior official said.

On a tip-off, the team of FIA raided Musafar Air Travels office on Charsadda Road and Shams Travels Agency at general bus stand in Mardan and seized them on the charges of running illegal business, Gulfat Hussain of Mardan police told Dawn.

Shamsul Qamar son of Gulmahar Jan and Smasul Mastan son of Maulana Fazle Subhan, the owners of their respective travel agencies were also arrested. Later on, the FIA team brought them to Peshawar and registered an FIR.

The FIA official said that 16 fake Pakistani passports and dozens of bogus visa stickers of Middle East countries were also seized.

DEMANDED: The lower rank employees of government schools have demanded of the government to pay their unpaid salaries during Ramazan and also announce Eid bonus to enable their children to celebrate the festivities.

According to a press statement issued by the leaders of Class- IV  Government Employees Association, Schools and  Literacy Department here on Monday, they criticized the provincial government for not paying their salaries during Ramazan despite they knew the economic conditions of the low- rank government employees.

They also urged the government to announce Eid bonus.
