KAMAL Ahmed Rizvi passed away after a long illness in Karachi. He was a prolific writer, an actor and a director.
He performed on stage before appearing on TV. He earned popularity from his comedy show Alif Noon in which he played a central role along with Nannha. Both were loved by the public, and viewers eagerly waited for this extremely popular comedy drama.
The show was full of sarcasm about social evils in our society. He was the king of black comedy. He also adapted many foreign plays.
Rizvi was an institution in himself and a great proponent of his craft. No eulogy can describe his stature as an artiste. There can be no better praise for him than an artiste par excellence. He was a class act. He will be missed for his great performance and as a decent human being.
