KARACHI, Oct 31: Sindh Education Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat said that minimum 20 computers would be made provided to each institution in the province.

He said that the federal government had already provided funds for the purpose. He was optimistic that computers as well as the teaching staff would be made available in every secondary school, higher secondary school and college in one year. The facilities, he added, would be made available keeping in view of the enrolment at such institutions.

Mr Marwat said that the discipline of computers could not be declared compulsory unless the required facilities and infrastructure was made available in educational institutions. He made it clear that it was being taught as an optional subject at present. Fee was charged from those students who were studying the discipline of computer as part of their course work, he added.—APP
