KARACHI, Oct 29: Acting City Nazim Tariq Hassan invoking Section 144 has prohibited transportation of goats, cows and buffaloes from local cattle markets to outside the city limits.

An order issued on Wednesday in this regard said the restriction had become necessary as movement of the animals by traders on a large scale had resulted in an increase in the prices of mutton and beef. It observed that the animals were being transported from the local cattle markets to other markets.—APP
