PESHAWAR: 10 acquitted

PESHAWAR, Oct 27: The Peshawar High Court on Monday acquitted 10 persons who were sentenced to different prison terms by a qazi court in a triple murder case in Upper Dir.

A single bench of the court comprising Justice Nasirul Mulk observed that there were a number of conflicts in the prosecution evidence.

The appellants, belonging to the Gujar tribe clan of Dir- Kohistan, faced trial for killing three persons of another clan over the issue of irrigation channel.

Barrister Zahoorul Haq contended that medical reports were in conflict with the prosecution story.—Bureau
