SIALKOT, Oct 26: Armed bandits shot dead a trader and injured two other persons seriously on Sunday on resistance in different incidents in the district.

Four armed dacoits barged into Rafique’s house in Nole village, Uggoki. They held the inmates hostage and started collecting cash and valuables. The intruders shot and killed Rafique instantly for holding them out and fled.

In Kotli Bhutta village, Yaqub was shot and injured seriously by bandits for putting up resistance during a dacoity bid.

Vendor Aslam was also shot and wounded critically by armed dacoits on resistance during a dacoity bid in Bhabiayanwala village. — Correspondent
