KARACHI, Oct 24: Faculties’ Tariq Ali Gujar and Muhammad Abbas of Government Commerce College were declared joint best athletes of the two-day Karachi University Inter-collegiate athletic (boys) championship, according to a press release issued by the Directorate of Physical Education, University of Karachi, on Friday.

Tariq and Abbas both covered themselves with winning three events each. The former was successful in 400m, 800m and 400m hurdles while Gujra proved too good for his rivals in high jump, triple jump and 100m hurdles.

But the fastest athletes title went to Pakistan Marine Academy’s Azeem-ul-Ghani who clocked 11.80 seconds in the 100metre sprint.

Pakistan Marine Academy with 120 points won the team title ahead of Faculties who garnered 106 points. Government Commerce College No.1 finished a distant third having collected 40 points.
