ISLAMABAD, Oct 18: The World Conservation Union-Pakistan has launched a website to commemorate the International Day for Eradication of Poverty.

The day is observed worldwide on October 17 following a United Nations General Assembly decision in 1992 to promote public awareness about the condition of the people living in absolute poverty, and to mobilize action against the issue.
