LAHORE, Oct 17: A delegation of parliamentarians from Pakistan during its visit to India has highlighted the need of reducing Indian visa application processing period.
Delegation leader MNA Ch Manzoor said this while addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club here on Friday after his arrival from India.
He said that Indian parliamentarians had promised to raise this issue in their parliament.
Narrating experiences of his visit, the delegation leader said that India was facing problems of price hike, unemployment and population explosion, like Pakistan. “Therefore, both the countries should avoid confrontation and try to divert their resour-ces towards human welfare.”
Other members of the delegation — Qamar Zaman, Zulifqar Gondal and Fozia Wahab — were also present in the press conference. They appreciated the Indians for warmly welcoming the delegation.—APP
