JUI-F expels its six councillors

PESHAWAR: The JUI-F announced on Friday termination of the basic party membership of its six councillors for violating party discipline during elections for tehsil and district nazims across the province.

A statement said that JUI-F provincial general council terminated the basic membership of its six members. It said that five of the terminated members belonged to Lakki Marwat district and one to Torghar.

The statement identified the members as Asghar Ali, Ali Gul, Mohammad Khalid, Haji Aftab and Patras Masih from Lakki Marwat and Safiullah Khattak from Torghar.

It said that the party general council also decided proceed against those councillors to de-seat them. The meeting took place with JUI-F provincial emir Gul Naseeb Khan in the chair.

The meeting decided to terminate memberships of all those candidates, who contested against party candidates in elections for nazim, and directed the district chapters to oust such members from party ranks.
