Much awaited: A Ghostbusters starring Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan?

Could it really happen or is SRK just humouring his fans?

Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Shah Rukh Khan responded to speculations about the possibility of a triple Khan film (starring Shah Rukh, Salman and Amir Khan) with a noncommittal 'it might not be a problem'.

His answer was in reply to Farah Khan's earlier statement that "even god can't bring [the Khans] together, so I'm not even attempting that." The rumour began when director Sajid Nadiadwala expressed his desire to bring all three Khans on board for a film, but he soon clarified saying that is has yet to finalise such a project.

But fans are still clinging onto the hope that such a film will materialise one day.

"I think it’s difficult to do a three-hero film, especially when all the three heroes are leading mainstream actors," Shah Rukh Khan said in the interview. "But, I feel, it might not be a problem. All three of us are humble enough to understand that we are doing a film [together]. We have to choose a film in which all three of us are equal. We should do [a film like] Ghostbusters. That film has equal roles for all the three heroes."

Shah Rukh also went so far as to suggest how to raise money for a film that has to pay all three of them: a co-production by the Khans in question.

"But someone has to write an interesting script that we like," he said.
