KARACHI: The Employees Old-Age Benefit Institution (EOBI) is going to issue ATM cards and will also start verification of pensioners through biometric system.

The EOBI has entered into an arrangement with Bank Alfalah for collection of contribution and distribution of pension. The bank has agreed to issue ATM cards to pensioners free of cost.

These arrangements will facilitate pensioners to withdraw cash from nearby bank branches and they will not have to travel long distances, EOBI spokesman Israr Ayoobi said on Friday.
