Daawa moot begins tomorrow

LAHORE, Oct 13: All is set for the three-day congregation of the Jamatud Daawa from Oct 15 at Pattoki in Kasur district.

A central control room has been established to monitor the tent-city and other departments. A temporary hospital and a free dispensary have also been set up.

Besides the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal and other religio-political parties, the Jamaat has also invited leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference. On the last day of the congregation, a special session for religious and political leaders, MPs, lawyers, intellectuals, editors and journalists has also been arranged.

According to political coordinator of the Jamaat, Hafiz Khalid Walid, JUP president Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani, Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad, JUI-F head Maulana Fazlur Rahman, JUI-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith president Prof Sajid Mir, PML-N chairman Raja Zafarul Haq and president Javed Hashmi, PPP-P chief Makhdoom Amin Faheem, PML-Q president Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, Millat Party chief Farooq Leghari and others have been invited to the congregation. —Staff Reporter
