PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Sunday announced postings and transfers in the senior bureaucracy.
The new appointments include appointment of secretary finance, secretary local government and senior member Board of Revenue.
A notification issued by the establishment and administration department said Ahmed Hanif Orakzai, (BPS-21), currently serving as secretary communication and works, has been transferred and post as secretary finance. The position had fallen vacant following the retirement of former secretary Said Badshah Bukhari earlier in June and the seat was additionally held by Afzal Latif, secretary elementary and secondary education.
Mohammad Humayun Khan, (BPS-21) serving as secretary agriculture, has been transferred and posted as the senior member Board of Revenue. Syed Jamaluddin Shah, commissioner Kohat division, has been transferred and posted as secretary local government and rural development department. Deputy commissioner Kohat Captain retired Kamran Ahmed Afridi has been tasked with overseeing the affairs of the commissioner office till further orders.
Secretary local government and rural development Tariq Ahmed has been transferred and posted as secretary agriculture.
Engineer Mohammad Asif Khan serving as chief engineer has been posted as the secretary communication and works department, while Akmal Khan, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as deputy secretary finance department.
Mohammad Saleem Hassan Watto, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as the director general of the Peshawar Development Authority as well as the Military Lands and Cantonment.
