PA moved for jobs to Dars-i-Nizami students

MULTAN: A resolution to provide jobs to seminary students who have passed Dars-i-Nizami courses, has been submitted to Punjab Assembly.

According to a press release issued here on Sunday, Jamaat-i-Islami Punjab Emir Dr Wasim Akhtar has submitted the resolution to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat.

“This house demands that the federal government should take concrete measures for immediate implementation for the provision of jobs after the Higher Education Commission declared Daura Hadith a degree of Dars-i-Nizami equal to MA Arabic and MA Islamic Studies,” the resolution stated.

Dr Wasim demanded that the government end discrimination against the seminary students.

He said: “Over 100,000 non-government organisations are working against the national security and the people who link terrorism with religious seminaries are hiding the role of NGOs.”

He said ban on religious seminaries would not help resolve the issues and the government should do strict monitoring of the NGOs.
