Anti-obscenity drive planned

NOWSHERA, Oct 8: The Jamaat-i-Islami has planned s campaign against the cyber cafes spreading “obscenity” in the province.

The party’s leadership has reportedly directed a task force, led by Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal’s MNA Sabir Hussain Awan, to check the cyber cafes which are “promoting obscenity.”

The task force has constituted teams of youngsters to collect information about Internet cafes allegedly promoting obscenity.

It is planned that police would be asked to raid the suspected cafes.

In case the police fail to conduct the raids, sources said, the party’s workers would take action against the alleged violators of “Islamic norms.”
