OKARA, Oct 6: Two married women on Monday committed suicide in different parts of the district.

Mumtaz Bibi of Chak 23-A/4L was married to Akram of 35/4L some six years ago. As she remained issueless, her husband divorced her. Later, she was married to Ghulam Sarwar but had to face the same consequences. On Monday, she hanged herself to death in the farm house of her parents.

Shahida Bibi, the second wife of Shah Muhammad in Shah Beg village, would often quarrel with her soutan. In dejection, she also ended her life.
