MANSEHRA, Oct 6: The leader of the opposition in the NWFP Assembly, Shahzada Mohammad Gustasap Khan, has said that Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani was talking of conspiracies and levelling charges of horse-trading against the opposition to hide the failure of the MMA government in the province.
Speaking at the Meet the Press programme of Mansehra Press Club here on Saturday, Mr Gustasap said that all the opposition parties and independent members in the provincial assembly respected the mandate given to the MMA and had decided to extend unconditional support to the government.
He said the opposition supported the Shariat Bill and backed all the positive steps of the government, but it is an irony that the government itself backed out from its agenda.
Mr Gustasap said that there was a marked contradiction in the words and deeds of the provincial government, which, he claimed, even annoyed the members from the treasury benches.
He said that the opposition had no intentions to dislodge or destabilize the Durrani-led government, adding that the joint opposition had chalked out an strategy to block the way for the MMA government to commit any malpractice.
