ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: The special investigation cell of the Anti- Narcotics Force (ANF) in collaboration with the regional directorate of the Anti-Narcotics Force, Rawalpindi, arrested two foreigners at Islamabad International Airport on the charge of possessing narcotics, ANF said on Saturday.
The spokesman said the head of the special investigation cell received a tip-off that some persons would try to smuggle heroin from Islamabad to Europe.
A team was immediately constituted that arrested two persons, Feder Marius, a Rumanian national, and Emeka Bartholomew, a Nigerian.
Feder Marius was subjected to X-ray and ultrasound tests but nothing extraordinary was found in his stomach. However, a tactful handling made him confess to having 44 heroin-filled capsules in his stomach. He was admitted to the hospital where 44 capsules were recovered from his stomach.
The spokesman said that the Nigerian national Emeks Bartholomew had given the capsules to Feder Marius.—A Reporter
