QUETTA: Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti has been nominated as acting president of the Jamhoori Watan Party-Talal (JWP-T).
The party’s organising committee also decided at a recent meeting that the national council session scheduled for Aug 16 would elect new office-bearers.
Party organiser Nurullah Watandost disclosed details of the committee’s meeting at a press conference here on Wednesday.
The Jamhoori Watan Party was established by nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti in 1990.
He led the organisation till his killing on Aug 26, 2006. In September the same year, Nawabzada Talal Bugti became the head of his own faction of the party and remained its chief till his death on April 27 this year.
Mr Watandost said the party would continue its struggle for the rights of the people of Balochistan and other provinces.
