MULTAN, Sept 25: The Muzaffargarh police are tracking down the Bosan Gang across the Indus, who kidnapped three people two days ago.
The police said on Thursday 13 people were kidnapped on Tuesday from Missan Kot Bhua, about 20 kilometres from Alipur, apparently by the members of dreaded Bosan Gang, which has been active in kidnap-for-ransom incidents for many months.
The gang released 10 of them while kept the three, including patwari Sohanra Charhoya, in custody, said the police.
However, no-one contacted the families of the kidnapped people demanding ransom, they added.
They said a 30-man police contingent, headed by the Alipur and headquarters DSPs, were following the kidnappers in the catchment area of Khairpur Sadaat, where the felons usually took refuge. It was a thick jungle, three kms wide and 40 kms long, starting from Ghazi Ghat to Guddu in Sindh.—APP
