Literary gathering in Riyadh in honour of Pakistani writer

ISLAMABAD: Naushaba Siddiqui, a noted academician and author of several books in Urdu, was honoured at a literary gathering held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

Poet Shaukat Jamal, who hosted the programme, said Siddiqui had remained a dedicated teacher for about 40 years at various colleges in Karachi, according to a Saudi Gazette report on Thursday.

Siddiqui wrote two books on economics and eight on literature comprising novels, dramas, op-eds, poetry and essays. In her memoir, `Chashm-e-Nam’, Siddiqui has recalled her nostalgic trip to India in 2007.
