NAWABSHAH, Sept 24: Renowned gynaecologist from the United Kingdom, Prof John Kelly, conducted 20 operations of VVF (a common disease in women) in a free medical camp held at the gynaecology ward of the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah, on Tuesday.

Talking to this correspondent on Tuesday, Prof Kelly said that diseases of VVF, UVP and RVF were common in third world countries, including Pakistan.

He said after his retirement he had visited Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania and Malawi and other countries on his own expenses and operated patients through a unique technique.

He said that he had been visiting Pakistan since the last four years and was conducting sensitive operation of female patients suffering from VVF (a disease caused mostly due to delay in labour in which a woman continuously passed urine due to a leakage).

Later, Prof John Kelly inaugurated the learning resource centre in the PMC.
