TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 23: Students of the Government Commercial Training Institute blocked the Toba-Chichawatni Road for more than half an hour on Tuesday to protest against the torture of a student allegedly by the musclemen of a transport company.

The students dispersed when the police officials assured them that the accused would be arrested soon.

CASE: On the orders of the Lahore High Court, Kamalia city police have registered a case against 10 policemen, including ex-SHO Naseeb Dogar, ASI Sharif Khaira and ASI Mohammed Yaqoob, for kidnapping a youth of Khurshidabad Colony.

Niamat Bibi had filed a petition in the high court submitting that these policemen had kidnapped her son, Haq Nawaz, on Aug 22, and it was suspected that they had killed him.
