HYDERABAD, Sept 17: A large number of disgruntled Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid) workers under the aegis of the PML-Q Workers’ Action Committee observed a token hunger strike outside the local press club on Wednesday.

The former provincial vice-president of the party, Choudhry Saifullah, Saud Ahmed Farooqi, Rana Rashid and Aftab Shaikh led the protest.

Talking to journalists, Mr Saifullah said that the PML-Q workers had tendered resignations in protest against the indifferent attitude of party high command including the provincial leadership.

He said that sincere workers of the party who had rendered tremendous sacrifices when the party was not in power had been totally ignored by the leaders.

He said that the prime minister and the Sindh chief minister had even not cared to meet the local party leaders and workers on their recent visit to Sindh.
