Klusener case goes to arbitration

JOHANNESBURG, Sept 16: South African all-rounder Lance Klusener’s complaint against the United Cricket Board (UCB) will go for arbitration in November.

He claimed unfair dismissal after the UCB failed to grant him a contract earlier this year.

According to Klusener, the UCB had virtually guaranteed him a contract for 2003, only to then leave him out of the squads that toured Bangladesh and England.

Legal representatives from both sides attended a pre-arbitration meeting at the Durban CCMA, and it was agreed that arbitration will be heard from Nov 17 to 21.—PPI
