PESHAWAR, Sept 16: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has said that there is a need for developing a consensus among all four federating units on important national issues.

Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the Khyber Union of Journalists on Monday, he advised the federal government to stay away from controversial issues, which might damage national unity.

Referring to the Kalabagh dam, he said the Centre should accept the stand of three provi-nces on the project.
