Special cell set up to monitor schools

PESHAWAR: The provincial government has established a special cell to monitor the educational institutions in the wake of the terrorist attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar.

The officers who have been assigned the duties of monitoring include, deputy secretary Ahmad Jan Afridi, deputy secretary (political) Mushtaq Ahmed, deputy secretary (judicial) Usman Zaman, deputy secretary (law and order) Rehmatullah Wazir, deputy secretary Attaur Rehman and deputy secretary (admin) Fazle Khaliq, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday by the home and tribal affairs department. It was stated that the officials would submit a report to the competent authority regarding security of the educational intuitions on daily basis.
