PCB unveils schedule of Pentangular Cup

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday announced the schedule of the Cool & Cool presents Haier Pentangular One-day Cup which begins from Wednesday here at the National Stadium.

The tournament was originally planned to be played in Multan before the PCB was forced to shift it because of the prevailing foggy weather which has engulfed most the Punjab.

As per the original itinerary, the competition opens with Sindh Knights taking on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fighters in the day/night fixture from 1:00pm onwards. The other participating outfits are Punjab Badshahs, Balochistan Warriors and Federal United.

The organisers have decided to give the event a break next Sunday (Jan 4) because of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.

After 10 preliminary round matches, the tournament winds up on Jan 11 with the final between the top two teams in the standings.
