PESHAWAR, Sept 12: The Peshawar-based consul general of Afghanistan Haji Abdul Khaliq Farahi paid a courtesy call at Wali Bagh, the residence of senior Pukhtun nationalist leader Wali Khan on Friday.
In a press release issued here on Friday, Awami National Party’s provincial secretary information Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that Mr Farahi called on Mr Khan to enquire about his health.
The Afghan CG remained with Mr Khan and Begum Nasim Wali Khan for quite some time and exchanged views on the region’s political situation and important global issues. ANP leaders Azam Hoti, Afrasiab Khattak, Farid Toofan and Sangeen Wali also attended the meeting.—Bureau
